Story
Many of you will know that following a long battle against cancer, sadly this year it won and took my Dads life.
He was incredibly supportive, caring, knowledgeable and generous. My sounding board, advisor and role model.
His wish was to be cared for at home and our family were amazing and everyone made his wish happen. The Myton team were amazing and made him feel special in those final weeks.
Massive thanks to them, my family, work and Demsey for agreeing to join me on this Ultra. I picked the Isle of Arran due to its demanding and challenging terrain, the strength and courage required to complete, as a mark of the man we lost.
I know it’s been a tough year, but if you can help us raise some funds for the Myton team that would be great, but don’t worry if you can’t.
At The Myton Hospices we believe that everyone matters for every single moment of their life; we focus on enhancing life when cure is no longer an option. We are leaders in compassionate end of life care; our work centres on our patients and involving them in decisions about their care. Perhaps most importantly we give them more quality time with their loved ones.Last year we supported more than 1,800 people and their families, in our three hospices, via our patient & family support services, and in the community through Myton at Home.
