Story
If you live in Deal or surrounding areas, please join our vigil for Sarah and light a candle and place it in your front window at 6pm on Saturday 13th March. The aim is to show solidarity and support for Sarah Everard's family and friends, and for women all over the world who have suffered violence or abuse. There's no obligation, but if you like you can accompany this small gesture with a donation to Oasis who do great work supporting people (women, men and children) in our community...
For over 25 years, Oasis has worked across Thanet and Dover to help people who have experienced Domestic Abuse. The charity works to make people safer, to house people fleeing in our refuges, to help them on the path to recovery, and work with children who witnessed and experienced the abuse. The current Coronavirus pandemic has meant the charity has had to cancel all of its fundraising events and transform its services to respond remotely. They need our help more than ever to ensure their vital work is not impacted further. Which is why I am running this fundraising event. Please support me by donating.
