About Deaf Action

There are almost 9 million people in the UK with some degree of hearing loss and just over 1 million in Scotland alone.

Deaf Action is a deaf-led registered charity established in 1835 and working across Scotland. We provide a range of services to deaf* people and those who work with them, including: Information, Advice & Guidance; Communication Support (British Sign Language / English Interpreters, Deafblind Communicators, Lipspeakers and Notetakers); Specialist Equipment; Social Care; Multimedia Translation of information and websites to make them more accessible to British Sign Language Users; and Training & Leisure opportunities.

By supporting Deaf Action's Big Fun Run Team, you will help Deaf Action to provide more and improved services to deaf people across Scotland.  Deaf Action's Big Fun Run Team includes staff, deaf people and other supporters.
