Story
Hi Everyone!
I'm going to be taking on the Tough Mudder 10k at Broughton Hall in Skipton on 31st July 2022 along with 9 of my insane colleagues/friends/family!
This will be a huuuge physical challenge for most of us so isn't something we're taking on lightly. We're by no means the next Ninja Warriors so we expect to make it to the end covered in mud and aching all over but every step is worth it if we can make a change.
Some of the Obstacles we could be taking on are:
- A huge ice bath!
- Electroshock Therapy (Running through a load of wires!)
- Tons of Tight Ropes, Monkey Bars & Other Crazy things!
- A 3 Mile run - with 1 mile of pure mud!
Until the Event Day we'll be training hard to make sure we can make it through as many of the obstacles as physically possible (we're not promising we won't be swimming through the mud in some of those monkey bar challenges!) So we'll be posting as many updates as we can for you to follow us along the way.
We're aiming to raise at least £2000 overall for our chosen charity The Fine & Country Foundation in their Fight Against Homelessness. In recent years we have personally raised over £10,000 for local homeless Charities via the Foundation. (The Forge Project in Scunthorpe, Harbour Place in Grimsby & Doorstep in Grimsby)
The Fine & Country Foundation has been created to help combat one of the largest social issues in the UK – homelessness. Last year, the Government estimated around 2,414 people sleep on the street on any one night across England, a rise of 36% over three years. Often the reasons for homelessness are misunderstood, with many blaming the individuals for poor life decisions and carelessness.
All donations are massively appreciated and go towards supporting causes like the Forge Project & Harbour Place who have a massive impact on supporting our local communities and those in need.
Thanks so much for Reading!
