Fauna & Flora International (FFI) was the world's first international conservation organisation, established in 1903. Our vision is of a sustainable future for the planet, where biodiversity is effectively conserved by the people who live closest to it, supported by the global community.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm taking advantage of my attempt to cross the Atlantic in a small sailing boat at the end of April to help to raise awareness of the impacts of plastic in our oceans.  I'll be armed with a camera and a net to fish out any floating plastic we find along the way.  I'm well aware that there are many pressing causes requiring our generosity at the moment, so any donation, however small, just to show support would be massively appreciated.

Please read more about the work of Fauna and Flora (whose VP is Sir David Attenborough) on the link: Ocean plastic pollution - Fauna & Flora International (fauna-flora.org).  I am in touch with the charity who are following with interest and will ensure that funds raised from this adventure will be directed towards specific ocean plastic projects.

If interested, from 28th April you should be able to follow my progress with the link: https://share.garmin.com/dtrmaineazores2022

Thanks hugely!
