In memory of Dave - the DC of DC United

@DCUtdFC
DC United was set up in loving memory of David Coleman who sadly took his own life in February 2019, aged just 47. The team's aim is to give young men in the local community an opportunity to come together and support each other's mental health through football.
We encourage DC United to be the “Team who Talks” on and off the pitch. They have each other’s backs and will encourage each other to talk and support, keep talking and keep supporting. Many of the squad played together when younger and then all drifted as life got in the way. Inspired by their friendship they share this real passion for reuniting under their old manager and coaches who were Dave’s close friends.
DCUFC provides the focal point for these and other young men
to improve their physical and mental health. We hope to turn a tragic event for the family and the very many in our community who loved Dave into something positive. Every goal and every victory is for Dave. As is every pat on the back, arm around the shoulder, positive encouragement and supportive chat.
Please donate anything you can to this Just Giving page. CALM is the leading movement in suicide prevention and we're very proud to be able to support them.
