Croke Park Abseil Challange, 4 May 2022
Plan International Ireland is asking you to get involved in our abseil challenge on Friday 27th May and abseil 150ft from the roof of the famous Hogan Stand and raise funds for children in crisis and help them get their childhood back.

Story

We are abseiling from the top of Croke Park in aid of Plan International Ireland.

We are delighted to support Plan Ireland in this event, and all funds raised from this event will go towards Plan International’s work to advance girls’ rights and ensure that children have access to quality education and grow up safe and free from violence.

Right now, Plan Staff are on the ground in Ukraine in, Poland, Moldova and Romania, ensuring that where possible that children can get back into school to provide them with some normality and safety.

Children and youth who have fled conflict have often witnessed unimaginable destruction, with little idea of when they will see family, friends and their homes again. They face considerable risks to their personal health, safety and wellbeing. Going to school has significant emotional and psychological benefits.

Any support you can give is much appreciated.

About the charity

Plan International Ireland is a development organisation that advances children's rights and equality for girls. Everyday, we ensure that the children who are most marginalised receive the education and essential services they deserve and the protection and care they are too often denied. Your generous donations go to life-saving projects, such as providing clean water supplies and child immunisation, which make an immediate and lasting impact to the world's poorest children. We know that it is impossible for a child to reach their potential unless their community is developing alongside them. Plan International's commitment to each community means that the health, sanitation and education programmes we establish are long-term and sustainable.
