Hello and thanks for visiting our page.
Marc and I are joining ‘the Superhero Oxford Half Marathon’ team, to help them raise £100,000 for the SSNAP charity.
All the donations and funds raised will help make a difference for over 1,000 babies and their families that are supported by SSNAP each year, from across Oxfordshire and the UK. SSNAP fund essential medical life-saving equipment, research, and support the amazing NHS staff on the neonatal unit with training and study days, to enable them to continue to provide the very best of care.
In December 2019, my first born Noah was 1 of those babies, and my wife Nikki and I were 1 of the families supported by SSNAP and the NICU team at the John Radcliffe Hospital. Born at 25 weeks and 2 days, Noah had a fight on his hands, but thanks to the support of these heroes, after a 100 day journey, we got to come home as a family with our miracle boy.
Fast forward to now, Noah is a healthy and very lively 3 year old boy, a big brother to our second son Albie and he is our little hero.
This run is for Noah, his NICU friends, and for all the future families who will face their own premie journeys. SSNAP and the NICU team will always have a special place in our heart.
Shout out to Noah’s uncle Marc for joining me on this challenge.
