Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This is not a story as such but a dream of mine to climb the Matterhorn in Switzerland. At 14691metres, the world renowned mountain has been a true challenge of mine for a couple of years with an ascent due on my 40th birthday, 2 Oct 2009. What stopped this particular challenge at the time was the birth of my beautiful son Joseph Arran (pictured in my photos top left). The time frame for climbing the Matterhorn then slipped until a window in July 2010 when I leave the army after 22 years. Taking on such a challenge, I decided to use it to raise money for Cancer Research which is charity that I pledge all of my fundraising to.
