'Dawn til Dusk' Tennis Challenge · 19 June 2021

The Ted Senior Foundation was set up after Ted Senior (aged 22) took his own life. He was a medical student following his dreams. The premise of the service will be to train individuals in universities and local schools sports teams in mental health first aid. We also work with The Support after Suicide Partnership.

Story

Thank you for visiting our page. As parents, we are only too aware of the issues that the extended lock down may have had among the young of today. The Ted Senior Foundation are raising funds to train people in Mental Health Care specifically for young people through the medium of sport.

In order to do our bit, we will be playing tennis at Monmouthshire Tennis Club (Penpergwm) from the moment the sun rises to the moment it sets on the longest day of the year (ok second longest, but we will play for the extra few minutes to make it equivalent).

We will be inviting a host of people from all ages, abilities, and clubs to join us throughout the day, as well as tempting a few stars to come and help push up the crowd numbers. (if you would like to take part, a generous donation will always catch our eye, or make us turn a blind one if you prefer!).

We hope that through our efforts and your donations we can help The Ted Senior Foundation to reach their own targets in helping children of all ages post Covid-19.
