Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My wonderful Mum died from ovarian cancer in May 2011, it is a horrid and painful disease. She was told it was IBS for 2.5 years. It is a myth that there are no symptoms, in my Mums case there were symptoms but her GP chose not to investigate her pain.

Unfortunately I cant bring my Mum back but I can try and raise money to ultimately make more women aware of the signs of this dreadful disease.

I'll be walking 10kms with my lovely friends Marissa and Pru on Saturday 5 October. If you can help with a donation, no matter how small, I'd be very grateful. Thank you!!

Here's a bit more info on the statistics of Ovarian Cancer:

7,000 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer each year, and sadly 4,300 women lose their lives each year. The UK has amongst the lowest ovarian cancer survival rates in Europe and there have been no new life-extending treatments in over 20 years.

All my Love
