Story
On the 28th June 2013 my whole world came crashing down around me, I discovered what a parent should never ever have to find. My beautiful, 14 month old precious baby boy Jayden, had passed away in his sleep. Jayden was such a happy, smiling little boy who touched the hearts of all that met him. He had so much more to give but sadly his life was cut far too short. Jayden had suffered heart failure due to a rare condition called myocarditis. This condition affects only ten children in the UK each year.
In memory of Jayden myself along with ten fabulous friends of mine are embarking on one of the biggest physical challenges I think any of us have ever done before, the Summer Wolf Run.
Rachel Page said "The Wolf Run will be tough .... but no where near as tough as what Dawn and her family face on a daily basis after the sudden loss of their gorgeous boy, Jayden. Their strength and courage would inspire anyone to take on the challenge. I'm honoured to be part of Jayden's Wolves and hope we can raise loads of cash for this very special cause"
Fiona Armstrong said " As a mother myself I can't even imagine what Dawn and her family have been through, losing beautiful Jayden. I'm doing the wolf run to raise awareness for a wonderful cause"
Hayley Llewellyn said "Being involved with anything that raises money for CRY will be a fantastic experience, it is an amazing charity and coming together with a bunch of likeminded ladies to honour the memory of beautiful Jayden is both an honour and a privilege"
Charlotte Birch said "This is the toughest of events but we shall rise to every challenge it throws at us in memory of a gorgeous little boy"
Georgie Quinn "The wolf run is going to be a big challenge for me and its for a fantastic cause. I'm not a mummy but Dawn is an amazing woman and had been through something that no one should ever go through. I'm honoured to be taking part and hope we can inspire many people by raising money and awareness for CRY. Go Team Jayden's Wolves"
The money raised will help CRY research more into this rare condition and hopefully prevent similar deaths in the young from occuring.
