Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hi i'm Dawn and when I was 17years old my whole world turned upside down I had encephalitis ,this was devastating for the whole family . Encephalitis is a virus what attacks the brain which causes it  to swell and  crush against the skull in turn causes death or brain damage . It was the hardest time of my life , I had lost everything and reverted back to being a baby . I had to learned to walk talk & eat again with the help of my family and The Encephalitis Society . Which is why this Charity is so important to me. They have helped me over come the most challenging things , as I have been left with a serious brain damage so the most simple tasks are impossible . I have 4 different areas of the brain damage and the hardest to live with is short term memory loss  , I spend my day trying so hard to live a normal life and hiding my disabilities  . But i am a very determined woman . This is very true to this challenge as I have extreme pain due to  brain damage to the central nerve system . And never let anything stop me so I will be running the Manchester marothon .
