Thanks for taking the time to visit are JustGiving page.
Seeing Dawn my big sister go through encephalitis is hard really hard . I became her carer aged seven, I helped her get dressed, fed her and helped her to the toilet. Seeing her like that but not knowing why was tough . I still find it hard to talk about that day, knowing that she might of died .The sad thing is I don't really remember the good times we had before, I just remember the times I want to forget . Like seeing her on the stretcher coming downstairs and not knowing what was going on, or where they were taking my sister. There were days I thought are family was going to break. There were times I was ready to run away because I couldn't cope with the stress. But while we found it difficult, stressful and emotional, we stuck together and we are closer than ever. We have are moments but what family doesn't? My sister and I go everywhere together and enjoy life to the full no matter what. I now know what to look out for ,when my sisters brain is frazzled and I how to tell our friends what's happening, or knowing when she is getting too stressed and I have to calm her down or seeing her comfused and realising she needs to rest. Just being her bodyguard and one half of a double act as that's what sisters are for. We have made new memories and I love her to pieces. I wouldn't be who I am today without her. Which is why we are doing these crazy things now and creating new memories and raising money for encephalitis
