Hi! I have chosen AAIR charity to fundraise for over these weeks around my birthday because they are key to researching, supporting, and developing treatments and support to those with asthma and allergy. 5.5 million people are treated for asthma. 1 in 11 children have asthma. 1 in 12 adults. Three people die a day in the UK from asthma attacks. I myself have asthma, and allergens affect my condition and well-being. I for one can say the asthma meds I am on are and have been a life-saver and huge comfort and without research I’d not be on my relatively new ‘wonder - med’ Fostair. Since taking it my asthma and well-being has improved. (It’s been the perfect companion to a happy lifestyle). Please take a moment to read about their incredible input into making lives better, on their website: www.aaircharity.org
It is raising funds for the world renowned asthma, allergy and respiratory research department at The University of Southampton Faculty of Medicine. They are credited with many achievements and breakthroughs and since 2012 has been run by volunteers.
