THE LEN GIBSON APPEAL
During the Second World War Len Gibson served with 125 Anti-Tank Field Regiment of the Royal Artillery. In 1942 Lens transport ship was attacked by the Japanese and he, along with his comrades, became prisoners of war for over 3 years on the infamous Burma Death Railway.
Now, aged 101 Len is taking on a new challenge. A celebration of Lens extraordinary life will put the spotlight on the charity close to his heart Daft as a Brush Cancer Patient Care as it extends free transport for cancer patients nationwide. The aim is to be operating in hospitals in Aberdeen, Londonderry, Cardiff and London in 2022 and Len is helping appeal for volunteers and to step forward to help.
