Victory for Vicki - A walk around the Isle of Wight · 28 April 2018

We are moving further, faster to help everyone affected by a brain tumour

Story

A team at Discover the World will be walking around the Isle of Wight in a relay style race (walk) to raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity.

We are doing this for our beloved colleague Vicki who was recently diagnosed with an incurable brain tumour and knowing we couldn't do much to help her, we still wanted to do something and so we decided to set up a challenge to raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity. Vicki is born and bred on the Isle of Wight and as she loves the island so much we thought it was the perfect base for the challenge.

The challenge is approx. 109 kms which we will do non-stop and some members of Vicki's family will also be joining us.

Only 1% of national spend goes towards brain tumour research. And this type of cancer kills more children and adults under 40 than any other cancer.  So it's really important we raise awareness and as much money as possible to help researchers and ultimately find a cure for this killer disease.

Any donations would be much appreciated.

Thank you in advance from the team at Discover the World.
