Story
Back in July 2020 I graduated from the Couch to 5k running program. After school years spent avoiding sport at all costs, and years as an adult believing running wasn't something I could ever do, I was now "a runner". I've been running ever since.
I set myself the goal of running 1,000km before my graduation runversary in July 2021. I've had set backs - 4 stitches in my knee and snow - so still have 400km still to go with only 4 months left. That's roughly 6.5k every other day until July 26th! It's tough but I'm determined.
Money raised will go directly to Southend Hospital Fetal Medicine Unit who offered me so much support while I was pregnant with Blake. Pregnancy after loss is incredibly hard emotionally, and they were there the whole way through. They went above and beyond to do everything they could to help me emotionally and bring my son home safely. My debt to them is enormous for the extra scans, monitoring whenever I panicked and a pre-birth hospital stay. I'd like others going through a similar experience to be as looked after as I was.
