Story
Today 16/04/2022 was the first time I put on my brothers t - shirt and bum bag (original from the 80’s) to run along skeg beach…( see pic on this page)… my brother Barrington Hawthorne committed suicide when he was only 14 years old on 5/5/1991 the pain and sadness of my brothers death will never ever go away - mental health is a killer - no one should have to suffer such serious consequences of this illness - including the ones that are left behind.
After speaking with a good friend about how she ran a marathon. I was inspired and decided to run a marathon in memory of my brother for MIND charity. I ran nearly 12 k along Skegness beach today!
I will be aiming to run 25k along Skegness beach by the end of 2022. This will be a warm up to Brighton Marathon in April 2023.
Every penny donated here will be donated to MIND. Please give what you can every little helps.
