Story
In June 2013 my beloved brother Jonny competed in the Blenhiem Triathlon and clocked a time of 1hr 36min. Two months later he was diagnosed with skin cancer. Over the next three months he fought this terrible disease with his smile, his jokes and without a single complaint. At the end of November he fell asleep - three days after his 25th birthday.
As a family, we are determined to honour our wonderful brother in whatever way we can. As part of this, Roo and I are both competing in this year's Blenheim Triathlon. In doing so, it is our hope that we will do Jonny proud at an event in which he did himself proud (and set us a ridiculously quick time to try and beat). We also hope that this will raise your awareness of Melanoma, which is the form of skin cancer that Jonny contracted.
We consider any money that might be raised a huge bonus. If you feel that making a donation is something you would like and are able to do, we would like to give this to St. Michael's Hospice in Basingstoke, which is where Jonny was cared for before his passing.
Thank you for your love, kindness and support.
