I am excited to announce that I have been selected to run the 2020 London Marathon for the Cornwall Hospice Care Team (#TeamCHC2020). With the help of my Fiance Stacie, we will be fundraising between now and the London marathon to raise as much as we can for such an important local charity which makes a difference to many people's lives.

About Cornwall Hospice Care...

"We are a Cornish charity that provides specialist care for people with terminal illnesses 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Our clinical teams support in and out patients and their families at Mount Edgcumbe Hospice in St Austell, St Julia’s Hospice in Hayle and in Cornwall’s hospitals, care homes and in the community.

We also run a 24 hour advice line for other healthcare professionals and share our knowledge through education programmes supporting the healthcare workers of the future"

Why support Cornwall Hospice Care?

Every year it costs over £5.15 million to provide the specialist care  offered by Cornwall Hospice Care to their in and out patients. Only 19% of this is funded through a contribution from Cornwall’s NHS Commissioners, in simple terms, the NHS contribution pays for 69 days of care each year. In a calendar year that’s only enough to fund until 10th March. Cornwall Hospice Care relies on the generosity of people and therefore, by running the London marathon I hope to fundraise for such an important Cornish charity.
