Story
I have had two recent experiences with MND, and both were tragic.
A good friend, George Daldry, lost his wife a few years ago to MND. It was devastating for George and his family. However, their dignity and bravery in dealing with this brutal disease (we need to find a cure) was humbling beyond words.
A year or two later, David Hicks was diagnosed, and in his last few months, I spent a night on his boat. We drank and reminisced about his time in greeting cards and drank some more. This was before David sent me to bed at 4 am because I kept falling asleep. I remind you that he was the sick guy! Like George, David’s courage and lack of self-pity was equally humbling.
I intend to walk the 25 miles (hopefully) for George and David...
