Story
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.
David, Damien, Lloyd and Dave are raising money to complete the building of a sensory playground for the children of the autism unit at Darlington's Education Village. The project was begun by David in 2008.
Firstly, a big, BIG, thank you to those of you who have already donated. David's cycle ride from Darlington to Vienna raised over £10,000 and thanks to you we have made a great start with the sensory playground - it has already transformed the children's access to play. There are some pictures of our progress on the left of this page
BUT..........We do need to raise some more money to complete the project. So now, my friend Damien Jones and I are going to get on our bikes again and see how far we can ride in 24 hours. We'll set off from the south coast and cycle as far north as possible in the allotted time (we're aiming at 300mls +). I've no idea what being in the saddle for that long will be like but I know it'll hurt!
We have a terrific support crew in the form of Lloyd Dunn and Dave Fell who will take charge of maintenance, nutrition etc and any medical issues that might arise, so thank you to them in advance.
Please PLEASE, if you can spare a little or a lot for this fund, donate here. Any sum is much appreciated and put to good use. Some things cost a lot - the soft play area alone was over £3,000. Other things cost a little - plants for the garden, tins of paint, brushes etc. All are important.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Beaumont Hill School Charity Association will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support.
