Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The serious bit.....I am running the Edinburgh Marathon on 23rd May 2010 to raise money for Alzheimer Scotland. I have seen how challenging it is to live with this disease for both those suffering and those caring. If I can raise some funds for an organisation that devotes it's time to helping families affected by Alzheimers I will be delighted and it will spur me on to the finish line! Dementia is the progressive loss of the powers of the brain. There are many kinds of dementia but the most common is Alzheimer's disease. Alzscot doesn't get the headlines that other charities do so I am doing my bit as £50 will provide a day's respite care. http://www.alzscot.org/pages/services.htm

The fun bit... This takes place just after my 40th birthday. I know you are surprised to hear that but it's true so this is my way of marking the occasion.

I know that the economy is challenging at the moment but anything that you can donate will make a difference and I will be very grateful.

Thank you!
