As you probably know, running a marathon involves a lot of training in the months before - in all weathers! - and the thing that is spurring me on is knowing that all that effort will be worthwhile if I can raise money for such a worthy cause.

This will be my 6th London Marathon! My number is 20066!

I last got in in 2005 when I raised £405.68 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
