Story
This year I will be doing a live streaming event of our annual Christmas lights switch on. You can view this event live on the night on our Facebook page - The Nutts Christmas Lights 2020
Over the years I have raised funds for Ward 19 at Heartlands Hospital as I was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2015, I am currently still on tablets for this treatment and since being diagnosed I have raised over £7,500 over the years as a thank you for all of the help and support they gave me, especially during my stem cell transplant back in April 2019.
Due to Covid-19 our annual Christmas lights switch on will be very different this year, and although unfortunately we are not able to have the crowds outside to watch and the switch on we hope that you can join the live streaming of the event and help us raise some funds for the staff that are working across the hospitals over the Christmas period.
Thank you,
The Nutts Family
Being in hospital at Christmas is never easy, but this year is going to be particularly difficult for our patients across University Hospitals Birmingham as they will be unable to have their loved ones visit them. For our staff, the past year has been the hardest that they have faced in the NHS and COVID, combined with the winter pressures that our hospitals experience, will make this Christmas a difficult one for our 22,000 NHS Superheroes. This is why, more than ever, we need your support at Christmas to bring a little festive joy to our hospitals. Whether that's funding a hamper for our staff and patients to enjoy on Christmas Day, or providing Christmas trees to brighten up our hospitals, your support can make a difference.
