Story
My family, friends and neighbours have all been struck by cancer. We live near the Royal Marsden and Jilly volunteers there. The pace of research and development of new treatments is accelerating and the Hospital, as you can see from their wonderfully optimistic mission statement and description of their work, is in the van. A good enough reason I think for wrecking my knees and slowly touring the Parks.
Thank you so much for your support. Here is the Hospital's story:
"Imagine a future beyond cancer. At The Royal Marsden we’re dedicated to making this happen. We’re a world-leading cancer centre who pioneer new treatments that save lives. We use our research [over 450 clinical trials every year] to provide the very best in diagnosis, treatment and care for our patients. The revolutionary way we treat people in our hospitals has far-reaching impact, nationally and internationally. This kind of pioneering work costs money. Support The Royal Marsden and you’re investing in a future beyond cancer for you and for everyone you know."
