A friend got in touch to say he was doing a 100k run (62 miles) from London to Brighton and did I want to do it with him? My first thought was NO THANKS MATE SEE YA LATER! I honestly didn't know if I could run that far... (I still don't tbh).. however as I thought about it more I figured that I would only run that kind of distance to raise money for a good cause. So being the easily led idiot that I am, I immediately signed up.

I decided on raising funds for Children with Cancer as the work they do is pretty amazing.  Speaking as a father of three and someone who has had a minor cancer scare in the past - I am fortunate enough that I have been all clear for 10 years now - however some are not so lucky.  We all know someone who has been affected by cancer but to suffer from this dreadful disease at such a young age is horrendously cruel.  I couldn't even imagine if that was one of my children going through that, which in my mind makes Children with Cancer one of the most worthy causes to donate to.

Children with Cancer UK actively raise and invest money for vital specialist research to save the lives of every child with cancer and keep their family together.  

If you would be so kind to spare a few quid to sponsor me on my long journey of pain and endurance, your money will also go a long way to help a young child on theirs.  Let's hope that every child at the end of their treatment crosses the finish line and gets to ring their end of cancer treatment bell.
