I am raising money for The Samaritans as part of a corporate charity challenge #TeamPurpleYour24. In a world where coronavirus has changed everything, Samaritans helpline is feeling the pressure. Before the pandemic hit, their volunteers answered a call for help every 7 seconds. This could be someone you know, family or friends in urgent need but unable to talk to anyone in the middle of the night. It is more important than ever for Samaritans to be there 24/7, 365 days a year.

Impact of donations:

· £5 is the cost to answer a call for help

· £96 could train and support an existing volunteer for a year

· £200 could cover the cost of a new volunteer to build the skills they need to answer a call for help

· £500 could keep Samaritans' phone line open for one hour.

As part of the #TeamPurpleYOUR24 challenge, I will carry out 24 days of home work outs like Joe Wicks on You Tube as I believe it is good for physical and mental health. Also due to lockdown measures the gyms are currently closed
