Story
David Heaney's funeral will take place in Inverness at 11am on Thursday 30th of July. Unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions, only immediate family and partners will be able to attend. We've set up this fundraiser for those who would like to remember David this week; there will also be a live streaming video at the service on Thursday.
David passed away unexpectedly in his sleep from sudden cardiac arrest on July 16th, aged just 55. We are devastated by this cruel loss, and will miss him deeply. On behalf of his wife Lee, his parents Betty and James, his five sons and the rest of our extended family, we would like to thank everybody for their kind wishes and sympathy over the last week. It has been a comfort to know just how loved and admired he was by friends, colleagues and family worldwide.
Once lockdown restrictions have been removed entirely, we will be arranging a large celebration of David's life, with a charity fundraiser gig in his name. We would like to invite as many people to attend this event, and will keep everybody updated on how, when and where this will happen. In the meantime, any donation to the British Heart Foundation in his memory will be greatly appreciated.
