Story
Hi, I am Dave.
I am a part of a bicycle community of facebook that has set a 100-mile challenge and I wanted to take it 1 step further. I am turning 60 this year and before then I will be taking on a personal challenge to cycle 100 miles in 24 hours, on what would be deemed as not fit-for-purpose vintage bicycles. I am doing this to raise money for Ty Hafan because as a family we benefitted greatly from the care for our son, Calum. We have been early supporters and fundraisers of Ty Hafan and they continue to do amazing work to help children like our son.
Although the original FitforFuture campaign event was earlier this year I will be cycling on the 9th of June.
A bit of background about Ty Hafan
Ty Hafan, Wales leading childrens charity and hospice opened its doors 21 years ago and has been supporting children with life-limiting conditions and their families ever since. After more than two decades of being used 365 days a year and providing essential around-the-clock care to over 1000 children and families in Wales, the hospice needed essential refurbishment so that it can continue to support families for the next 20 years and beyond. A donation from you today will help make a world of difference to children with life-limiting conditions and their families, both now and in the future. Please help however you can in this final push, it all matters. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. To find out more about this appeal, please visit www.tyhafan.org/fitforfuture
