Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Motor Neurone Disease Association gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

The observant amongst you will have spotted the typographical errors in my email, here is the corrected version:

On 27 March 1982 my wife lost her mother to Motor Neurone Disease and every year since, Annette has desperately missed Muriel in some way.  As my eldest daughter rapidly approaches 14 years old, the age Annette was when Muriel died, I imagine how awful it must be to lose your mum at such a critical stage in your life.  Of course, MND does not only affect mothers and is indiscriminate in its choice of victims but unfortunately too little is being done to research a cure or palliative care for sufferers of this fast acting and cruel disease.  So please help me to prevent others from losing friends and family to MND by giving generously to the MND Association.

Thank you very much,

David
