Story

On behalf of Giggling Squid, I'm fundraising for Action for Children to help vulnerable children and young people to thrive.

On October 10th 2022 we'll be trekking up Snowdon or Yr Wyddfa (as it is known locally in Welsh). It is the highest peak in Wales and England.  At1085m high, it will be a tough climb to reach the summit, hopefully made easier knowing we're doing it for a great cause!

So many children and young people don’t have the safe and happy childhood they deserve.  Last year, Action for Children supported 671, 275 children and young people to have the best start in life, a safe and stable home and improved mental health and wellbeing. Truly life-changing work for the most vulnerable young people across the UK.

We’re hoping to raise as much money as possible to support children and young people who so desperately need our help.
The difference our fundraising will make:

£50 could provide two hours of one-to-one counselling for a child or young person with poor mental health.

£30 could train a member of staff to support a young person experiencing grief and loss.

We are committed to supporting the vital work of Action for Children. With our fundraising and your support, we can drive positive change for vulnerable children and young people in our local communities.

Thank you for your support!
