Story
Dear friends and family,
Colin and I did it! All of it, the entire 2020 Tour de France route in 21 beautiful stages. We've ridden 3,588km with more than 58,000m of climbing (a new tour de France record!) We've discovered breathtaking places all over France. We've learned more about what are our physical and mental limits. It's been the adventure of a lifetime!
We were not alone: Colin Cursiter, Cassandra Derham and Jean Macnab took turns to drive our "team car" round with us. Originally we had planned to be riding unsupported for at least half of the three weeks, but stars aligned at the last minute and we had the luxury of not having to carry our kit on any stages. With hindsight, I don't think we would have been able to complete the tour in the same time-frame without their support. Thank you to the dream team, we couldn't have done this without you.
An enormous thank you also to Emma Macnab and Nicole & Rob Backus for looking after the peleton of the future (Matthew, Xavier & Yves) while we were off gallivanting round France! We feel super-lucky to have your generous support.
With the peleton of the future in mind, I have been fundraising for Greenpeace, and will continue to do so while this hard-earned achievement feels relevant. Any donation that you can afford is greatly appreciated.

I'm now going to enjoy watching the professionals sweat it out in our tyre tracks during September: I have a ton of fond memories from riding le tour 2020, but at some point every day Colin or I would say, "Thank God we're not racing this!"
Thanks for doing this with me, Colin, you're a legend.
