We Support Vulnerable Children in Kenya to Break the cycle of poverty holistically

Story

Running a 10k is a big personal challenge for me, and part of my effort on reaching the grand age of 50 to get fit! More importantly, the money raised goes towards the work of the Nasio Trust (Reg Charity No. 1104542), a charity Sally and I have been involved with for some years. They do a fantastic job supporting the HIV Orphans of Kenya and you can find out more about their various projects at www.thenasiotrust.org. They need to raise £30,000 in total to build a second purpose build centre and support even more HIV orphans. Even the smallest amount will be put to good use - £10 will feed a child for one month, £20 will provide a child with clothes, shoes and bedding, £100 will keep a child at the centre for a whole year. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Nasio Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

About the charity

RCN 1104542
The Nasio Trust is a UK registered charity and Kenyan NGO which supports orphaned and vulnerable children and empowers communities to break the cycle of poverty. Established over 20 years ago, our community-based approach is aimed at providing a holistic solution to tackling the root causes of poverty through education, healthcare, psychosocial support, food security and income generation. Our Philosophy. We believe children should not grow up in institutions like orphanages, where they are isolated from society because of poverty, sickness, disease or death of parents. Children should live in a loving family with dignity without being stigmatised by the cause of their vulnerability.
