Story

Delighted that we made it over £1,000 - thanks so much to everyone.

The race went well - I clocked in at 2 hours and 8 mins which I am quite happy with.

Thanks for all your support !!

Parkinson's disease is a chronic, degenerative neurological disorder that affects one in 100 people over age 60. People as young as 18 have been diagnosed. There's currently no cure for Parkinson's and we don't yet know why people get the condition.

My Dad, Vic Bashford, has been battling Parkinsons for the last few years so this is my contribution to support him and the Parkinsons society. Hopefully none of your family will be affected by this disease but you may be surprised how many people are affected directly or indirectly and we will all appreciate your support.

Thanks for your donation - l look forward to seeing some of you around the course !

best wishes
David

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
