Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

It's that time of year again and I'm taking part in a 10K Walk on the 14th of October in memory of Benny Boy Crutchley.

I'm supporting, Sandra's nephew Nige Crutchley, who's already raised over £1M for Young Lives v's Cancer (known formally as CLIC Sargent) - This charity provides care and support for children who are diagnosed with cancer,  so if cancer does strike young lives, they are there to help families limit the damage cancer causes beyond their health.

  • Sargent Cancer Care for Children - founded in 1968 by Sylvia Darley OBE as a lasting memory to the late Sir Malcolm Sargent.
  • CLIC - Cancer and Leukaemia in Childhood - founded in 1976 in the south west by Bob Woodward OBE.

Nige's son Ben died of a brain tumour aged 9 in 2012 and throughout the time he fought the tumour bravely.

Ben, Nige and Sue - Nige's wife - as well as Luke, Ben's brother, were supported by this wonderful charity allowing Ben to remain at home until the end.
