It's not often that I do incredibly selfless things for other people, but on this occasion I felt that it is an opportunity to support my close friend, Dudley, as well as his family during this difficult time....

I first heard about MND through the #IceBucketChallenge that everyone was doing for ALS, and at the time it never really occurred to me how horrible a disease it is. But, when I found out that Dudley’s Father had MND, I was in shock – This is my one of my closest friends...We've known each other since we were children and he told almost no one about what his family has gone through in the past 2 years of finding out his father has MND....

It was pure chance that I found out, but when I did, I thought to myself "why didn't he talk to me about it". The truth of it is that its not something you'd want to bring up in a casual conversation over a drink....I would never really understand how tough it's been for him over the past couple years; but I really wanted to make a point and show him that I'm there for him as a friend, hence why I am running this 5K with him for MND - Showing that myself and others will support him and his family when they need it. 

Lastly, before the JustGiving pitch below, I would just like to say thank you once again for visiting this page. I am not someone that enjoys cardio, but am willing to push myself in this charity run for a target of 30 minutes or less, as a means of supporting him
