Story
Myeloma UK is the leading UK cancer organisation dealing specifically with myeloma and its related disorders. Myeloma is an increasingly common cancer of the plasma cells found in the bone marrow and responsible for protecting the body against infection. Myeloma can be effectively treated but it cannot yet be cured.
Sadly, Mum was diagnosed with Myeloma is June 2008. She underwent the treatment and fought the disease all the way, but passed away in September 2009. I have therefore decided to raise as much money as possible for Myeloma UK, and have foolishly volunteered to jump out of a plane at 10,000ft, and freefall 5000ft in 40 seconds after which the parachute will hopefully open ! All monies raised will go directly to Myeloma UK to assist with research and the development of, and access to, new treatments, optimal care, information and support. Myeloma UK receive no government funding and rely almost entirely on voluntary donations and fundraising activities.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity andake sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Thanks very much and I will keep you posted on how I get on !!
Dave.
