Bowel Cancer UK is the UK's leading bowel cancer charity, determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. Your support will help stop people dying of bowel cancer by funding vital services and lifesaving research and here’s why it is so important to me.........
In 2016 our world fell apart with the news that my wife, Teresa had a tumour in her bowel. With a large operation and many months of chemotherapy treatment, followed by radiotherapy, we hoped we could move on and put it all behind us. Unfortunately, at Teresa’s next check up, we were told that a tumour had been found in her lung. Another operation followed to remove half of her left lung. We hoped after this operation that 2019 would be a better year. However, our hopes were dashed again with the news the tumour had returned in her bowel.
Teresa’s fight continues..........................
This is my reason for doing Ride London 2020 and I hope to raise a minimum of £500 for Bowel Cancer UK. Their work is vital to ensure that the best treatment is available and hopefully, one day they will find a cure.
If you are able to sponsor me at all, I would be really grateful.
