Why am I raising funds for the National Ankylosing Spondylitis Society (NASS)
Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS) is a condition that a colleague of mine (Keith Parsison) suffers with. This year I have chosen to support Keith and others who are affected by AS.
What is Ankylosing Spondylitis?
AS affects approximately 1 in 200 men and 1 in 500 women in . Men, women and children can all suffer from AS. It typically strikes people in their late teens and twenties, with the average age being 24. However, symptoms can start at other periods of life. AS is more common in men, with nearly three times as many men having it as women.

What I'm doing and when . . .
On 25th April 2010, I will be taking part in the Shakespeare Marathon (all 26.2 miles of it), located in . Please don't think of this as an easy task. Training for a marathon takes many months of preparation and as it's a spring marathon all my heavy training will take place thoughout the coldest winter months where I will be enduring rain, hail, sleet, snow, darkness, a bit more rain and hopefully some shine. I'll try to keep everyone updated on my progress and may even throw in a few video clips to give you something to laugh at.
Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou . . .
