In 2016 I ran the New York City Marathon for the Huntington’s Disease Society of America (HDSA). In 2018 I get to continue to do what I love, raise money for a great cause and get some exercise. I will be running (like I always am) to raise money for HDSA at the San Diego Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon on June 3, 2018.

My mom, Muriel Tovar, passed away late last year. I will always remember her with a smile on her face, love in her heart, and a passion for helping others. While she is no longer with us, she will always be in our hearts and she will continue to inspire and motivate me.

Huntington's disease (HD) is a hereditary, degenerative brain disorder for which there is no effective treatment or cure. HD is a debilitating disease that combines the worst symptoms of Parkinsons, ALS and Alzheimers. HD slowly diminishes the affected individual's ability to walk, talk, eat and reason. Children of a parent with HD have a 50% chance of inheriting this deadly disease.
