Story

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Dave and Ads’ Just Giving page.

Some of you may have been generous enough to help Dave and Sarah raise over £11k for the brilliant Rockinghorse charity back in 2015 in honour of their daughter Alice. This was put to amazing use at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, and helping the charity really lifted Dave and Sarah at a difficult time. For those of you unfamiliar with their story, Sarah’s blog post covers this best http://angelalicetobin.blogspot.co.uk/2015/01/alices-story.html   (though it does come with a mascara warning!)

This year, again in support of Rockinghorse, Dave and his best mate Ad will be running two Marathons in October. First, as a warm up, they will be running the Bournemouth Marathon on October 8th. Then, a few weeks later on October 28th they will be tackling the Beachy Head Marathon, which includes over 4,300ft of ascent during the course (about the height of Ben Nevis!).

Dave has never run a Marathon before, Ad has, but in his own words he currently ‘feels like a Rhino’ when he’s running. They’ve therefore got some tough training ahead and could do with all the support they can get to help push them on up those hills!

Rockinghorse do some great work, so thank you for helping them do all they can to support sick children and their families in Sussex.

Wish us luck!
Dave and Ad
