Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'll be raising funds this Summer by walking from Lands'End to John o'Groats - a total distance of 1250 miles. My route will follow some of Britain's wonderful long distance walking routes - The South West Coast trail, Offa's Dyke route, the Pennine Way and West Highland Way - and if all goes to plan, a detour into Snowdonia to visit 'home' and climb a mountain or two.

Starting at Easter 2022, my walk  will take over three months to complete. I'm a keen walker but have never attempted something like this or anything resembling this distance before. I'm being joined at certain stages by family and friends but I'll be walking 'unsupported' - carrying all my gear from beginning to end.

I intend to keep everyone up to date with my progress with news of any highs and lows and hopefully not too many accounts of bruises and blisters along the way.

From the stunning shores of Dorset, Sussex and Kent to the unpredictable tidal Thames, our coastlines are enjoyed by millions of people from across the country every year. The sea remains an unpredictable environment that can catch people out. People will always need the RNLI's help and it will always be there to answer that call. For ideas on how to support or get involved please contact claire_cardwell@rnli.org.uk

Your donation to this page will help fund the running costs of stations in the South East as follows:Bembridge, Brighton, Calshot, Chiswick, Cowes, Dover, Dungeness, Eastbourne, Gravesend, Hastings, Hayling Island, Littlehampton, Littlestone on Sea, Lymington, Margate, Mudeford, Newhaven, Poole, Portsmouth, Ramsgate, Rye Harbour, Selsey, Sheerness, Shoreham Harbour, Southend On Sea, Swanage, Teddington, Tower, Walmer, Whitstable and Yarmouth.

There are many, many excellent charities that deserve our support so in addition to the RNLI, I have elected to support

- Parkinsons UK and

- Just Wheels UK

I've provided a link so please feel free to click and read of the excellent services they provide. https://donate.thebiggive.org.uk/campaign/a0569000024Z16TAAS

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Many thanks for your kind support.
