Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'll be raising funds for charity this Summer by walking from Lands' End to John o'Groats - a total distance of 1250 miles. My route will follow some of Britain's wonderful long distance walking routes  - The South West Coast trail, Offa's Dyke route, the Pennine Way and the West Highland Way. I even intend to take a detour into Snowdonia to visit "home" and climb a mountain or two.

Starting at Easter 2022, my walk will take over three months to complete. I'm a keen walker but have never attempted something like this before.  I'm being joined at certain stages along the way by family and friends but I'll be walking "unsupported" - carrying all my gear from beginning to end.

I intend to keep everyone up to date with my progress with news of any highs and lows and hopefully not too many accounts of bruises and blisters along the way.

There are many, many excellent charities that deserve our support so in addition to Parkinsons UK, I have elected to support

 - RNLI - Littlehampton Branch and

 - Just Wheels UK

I've provided a link to each so please feel free to click and read of the excellent services they provide.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Many thanks for your support

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
