At some point over the last few years, you have likely heard me talk about the Posse Foundation, an amazing organization that sends over 800 young leaders each year from across the U.S. to top four-year colleges in multicultural teams of ten, or "posses".

In this moment when systemic inequalities and global challenges are impossible to ignore, I know I am contributing to positive change when I support the Posse program and their young leaders. Posse fosters collaborative voices in our most promising students. When they rise as leaders in their careers and communities, Posse Scholars create and support meaningful change. It's been the core of Posses work since 1989. 

Since 2000, Posse Chicago has selected over 1,740 scholars who have been awarded $260 million in leadership scholarships from our incredible partner colleges and universities. Posse supports these Scholars with mentorship, access to career opportunities, and graduate and fellowship programs. 

I am proud to be a part of this organization where I have been a member of the Leadership Council for the past 12 years. Posse Scholars are truly remarkable, and I've been inspired by so many of their stories and accomplishments. It's encouraging and inspiring to participate in the Dynamic Assessment Process (DAP) interviews for potential Posse Scholars, and incredibly rewarding to coach and mentor Scholars and alumni interested in pursuing law. I maintain many of my coaching relationships to this day!
