Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My Dad, David Stanley Surtees, was diagnosed with a brain tumour in October 2010. After a brave and honourable fight against the disease, he passed away peacefuly at his home on the evening of 13th January 2011. He was seventy years old. After his death, I decided to raise money for Cancer Research UK in the hope that a cure can be found for cancer. So many people suffer from the various forms of the disease - including the families and friends of those loved and lost.
In order to raise funds for the charity I will be completing a tandem parachute jump on Saturday 20th August 2011. I've always been a bit of an adrenaline addict and can't wait for the feeling I will get from the jump on the day. I will need bringing down to earth. Literally. As the day of the jump gets closer, I'm sure the nerves will kick in! I would love to have as many supporters/spectators as possible there on the day. Pink is the colour associated with charities supporting cancer - I will be wearing pink for my jump and you are welcome to join me.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig as deep as you can and donate.
Thank you :-)
