Since we started running around four years ago (when we could literally barely run 1km) we always wondered if Iwe could ever complete a marathon distance. 

Now with Dave being at the age of 60, we're challenging ourselves to train for, and complete the LONDON MARATHON on Sunday 2nd October 2022.

Having been unsuccessful in the public ballot, we are proud to have been selected to take part and ultimately raise as much money as possible for "THE STARLIGHT CHILDREN'S FOUNDATION".

Around 16 years ago Dave completed the UK "Three Peaks Challenge" which was tough and together we have managed to complete half marathons in the past 12 months, but rest assured this is going to be the most physically and mentally challenging thing either of us have ever challenged our body to do, so your support will be a huge motivation and give us both a massive incentive to do this!!!!

Starlight is the national children’s charity that exists to champion the importance of play and defend every seriously ill child’s right to it. We do this through our hospital play and distraction services, and our programme of Starlight events and experiences. We support children, families and health professionals to make moments of escape for those who need it most.
