Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit Our Just Giving Page. After the success of last year and the contribution we were able to give to the Manchester Children's Hospital Critical Care Unit in remembrance of Kristian we are giving the 10K Run another go. This time it's a family event Claire and Lyndsey are going to join their Dad in the hope of raising even more funds for the Unit. Kristian our nephew and cousin was admitted to the Critical Care Unit on 15th August 2008 with a brain aneurysm, sadly he didn't make it and on 16th August after much anguish and heartbreak his life support was discontinued. The treatment he received was first class and the support for the family was second to none, the staff were commendable throughout. Kristian was a lively very sporty little boy who liked nothing better to play football, he was also a great runner, so in his memory this is the best way we can say a big thank you to the Children's Hospital, especially the Critical Care Unit for their care, and to help them provide the resources to help other families like ourselves. So as the training continues, wish us well, and give generously, we are sure there will be a little boy with us all the way.
