I've done it 4 hours 15 It was really tough. Very warm and started with 9.5 miles of hills... Great afterwards in the freezing sea.

I am running for peace. At least to raise money for an organisation that has been  helping countries that are torn apart by conflict and helping to rebuild. Training teachers, mediating between governments and organisations to try to rebuild trust and tackle human rights issues.

Violent conflict kills and threatens millions of people across the globe. Such violence tears societies apart and can disrupt social and economic development efforts for many years. It’s no coincidence that the world’s poorest countries are also those that are, or have recently been, mired in violent conflict.

 

International Alert want to make it possible for communities to trust governments and police; citizens to have equal chances to make a living and children to feel safe walking to school. With help from the public, International Alert can continue to train people on conflict sensitivity, strengthen current programmes, while enabling Alert to react and respond to new conflicts.
